My foundation is a classical education in the tradition of the Odessa School of Painting. For many years I worked as a portraitist in various art studios—an intense practice where I learned to convey character through drawing and painting.
For the past eight years, I have focused on my own creative work. I am drawn to images and characters in all their diversity—human, animal, and those beyond the visible: spirits, presences, ghosts. It seems to me that animals hold no fewer mysteries than humans—they are also souls with their own purposes in this world. Ancient beliefs and traditions tell us that they are closely connected to the spiritual realm: guides, helpers, protectors. I sense this boundary and try to convey it in my work.
Recently my explorations have moved toward mythology—I combine realistic imagery with mystical spaces where different worlds meet.
Works in oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, sepia, charcoal, and mixed media.
